World's Smartest Man is Following ME?!

Recently, Dr. YoungHoon Kim placed himself on center stage, stating that he has the highest IQ ever recorded and he believes Jesus is God. As of right now, the post that Dr. Kim made has received 22.6 million views, 300K likes, 50K RePosts, 22K bookmarks, and 2.3K comments. That is a successful Post for someone who, when he made it, had ~56K followers.

It doesn't end there, though. Kim went on to make an avalanche of Posts that conservative Evangelicals could agree with, citing the Bible as "Perfect," "Homosexuality is sin," "Abortion is murder," and "Evolution is a scam."

Now, I believe it is because of the nature of his strong statements that he has come under attack. There has been no shortage of people attacking his credentials, such as saying his IQ score isn't real. But consider this: Dr. Kim has been able to defend his claims from attackers. In one video he made, he gave a logical proof syllogism that, if true, demonstrates that Jesus is God. The argument goes like this:

P1. Jesus claimed to be God

P2. Jesus rose from the dead

P3. Jesus matches the logic of God entering His own Creation

Therefore,

C. Jesus is God

What I love about this is that it is very easy to grasp what he is saying. He doesn't use complicated words or talk over people's heads as if only smart people can understand what he is saying. No, he comes down to ground level and explains it easily. What I love about this answer is that it is both simple and complex at the same time. Anyone who reads their Bible regularly will be able to see that what he is saying is true, even if you don't have an advanced theology degree. But Kim really is pulling from some heavy-hitting intellectual arguments when he makes this argument (which is backed up by supplementary points). Now, if you are like me, who studies apologetics somewhat regularly, there was nothing particularly "New" about what he was saying. However, the way he formatted the argument is unique (to me at least) and seems very logical. He doesn't just say, "Jesus said he was God, so that settles it." No, he backs it up by saying, "Jesus rose from the dead," which is both a separate argument and supplements the first argument. He does this for all the points in the syllogism. It is a very elegant, simple, refined, and logical argument that he made. This kind of argument could only be made by someone who is incredibly intelligent to streamline very complicated arguments in a way that John Doe from down on the street corner can understand.

Despite this, people are still saying he is making his IQ of 276 completely out of thin air. To address that, first, it must be understood that Dr. Kim has completed perfect scores on high-range IQ tests. Secondly, in his home country, South Korea, they use the standard deviation of SD24 in at least some cases rather than what is usually used in the US, SD15. So, if we say that Dr. Kim has a perfect IQ score for SD15, that would equate to an IQ of 202. But, given that Dr. Kim has made perfect scores in multiple high-range IQ tests, it is perfectly reasonable to say that he legitimately has an IQ of 276 based on the South Korean SD24, because a perfect score on an SD24 IQ test equates to an IQ of 276. He is not making anything up. His own government recognizes his IQ score, as does virtually all high IQ societies. There is a reason for that. The reason is that he genuinely has an exceptional IQ.

Now, you might be wondering what I am talking about in the title of this article. What I am talking about is that Dr. Kim has recently followed me on X.com. Further, even though Dr. Kim has purged some of the people he was following (going from following 412 to 316), I still somehow made the cut. Why would Dr. Kim follow me, someone who, as of writing this, has less than 2K followers on X (compared to Dr. Kim's follower count of over 100 times mine at 208.9K followers)? The truth is, I don't know for sure. He has never told me. However, here are some things that I do know.

First, I mentioned to Dr. Kim on June 24, 2025, that I supported him in his mission. This may have contributed to him following me. I have been active in his Posts, defending his views, and giving arguments that supplant Dr. Kim's bold statements. However, I don't think that is the full story because lots of people support Dr. Kim. He's about quadrupled his follower count in a matter of about 10 days. I think Dr. Kim likes the reasons I am bringing to the table that support him. I am not just saying, "I agree," or "Amen." I am giving actual arguments for what Dr. Kim is saying. Here's a discussion I had with my brother on how smart he thought I was.

Me: How smart do you think I am? Just curious how smart you think I am compared to other people.

Brother: idk just depends on what it is. I think thats an ego stroke. butttt. Smart enough to be able to understand things even though I think some things you think or believe might be misguided..

Me: What is something I am smart at?

Brother: Hmmmm, making arguments.

Me: That's interesting because I have a lot of people tell me I suck at makeing arguments. It comes up somewhat often like how I suck at convincing people of things.

Brother: Doesn't mean you are not good at making arguments from thin air, though!

Me: What do you mean, "From thin air?"

Brother: What I mean is that you could argue about anything.

Me: Give an example or something.

Brother: I'm just saying, when you were "sick" or bad off, you would argue about literally the most pointless things and be adamant about it. I think you are good at creating arguments.

Me: Do you think I still argue about pointless stuff?

Brother: Not unless is provoked. Like if someone says something that is just not true.

Also, Dr. Kim shared a multiple-choice pattern recognition test that he said, if you got the right answer, you were smart enough for Mensa. I don't think I am that smart, but I did get the right answer (barely).

So, the world's smartest man is following me on X. He is a strong Christian, and we have that in common. I am also probably smarter than average, which is partly why Dr. Kim is following me, in addition to my supporting him.

That's going to do it for this one! Thanks for reading!

God bless! Until next time!
